Rock climbing training course
A one week radiating stay of climbing around Corte
Located in the center of Corsica, in the heart of a region of mountains and lakes, the small town of Corte is the ideal starting point for our trip of rock climbing: it is surrounded by a large number of granite and limestone cliffs . The diversity of sites will allow the participants to improve their climbing techniques and we will complete the pleasure of climbing through training, addressing the issues inherent to rock climbing. The accomplishment of a multi-pitch route is also planned during the course. In addition to climbing, moving at each site will allow us to discover the center Corsica and the coast.

Program
Many possibilities exist, we adapt constantly to the weather and group level.
Day 1 : settling in Corte
Review of individual equipment and loan of equipment missing. Introduction and definition of individual objectives. Friendly evening at the restaurant.
Day 2 : climbing site in the Restonica valley.
Discovery of the famous Corsican granite on an initiation cliff. Slab climbing to work his feet and raises other types of routes with very beautiful and slightly overhanging dihedral. Audits of rock climbing safety maneuvers.
Day 3 : the Richiusa cliff
We take the famous Corsican train called trinichellu to go to the village of Bocognano. Highly sculptured granite cliffs set in a bucolic setting with a very high number of routes at all levels. Development of gestures and learning of leading rock climbing.
Day 4 : the Caporalino cliff
Beautiful limestone cliff like Swiss cheese with many routes of various levels. Work of the path reading, tests in heading, learning to fall, climbing 2 pitches routes.
Day 5 : islands cliffs
Little train through the Balagne to Ile-Rousse. Day of active recovery in beautiful surroundings: review of maneuvers ropes and swimming in turquoise water, visit of Ile-Rousse.
Day 6 : achieving a major route
Choosing a great route appropriate to the level of everyone in the Restonica or Tavignanu valley. Back to Corte for a friendly last night around a table always well stocked.
Day 7 : the Sorbellu cliff, Restonica valley
Biggest climbing site in the valley with a wonderful panorama of the surrounding mountains. Fun and climbing technique that requires good placements and balance.
End of stay; option to book an extra night
Warning, this program is provided for information purposes, and we'll constantly adapt ourselves, depending on weather and group level, thanks to the many cliffs nearby.
Level
An all levels climbing course to progress and become independent in an atmosphere of fun and holiday. The diversity of sites and the distribution by rope level or affinity allow people to climb and progress under optimum conditions.
Prices
- € 689 per person in stage lodging or camping.(tent and mattresses loan)

Prices include
- Transport on different cliffs, from day 2 to day 7.
- Supervision by a qualified climbing instructor.
- The provision of equipment individually and collectively.
- Full board from day 1 evening to day 7 morning.

- Picnic lunch.
- The wine at dinner, drinks and personal expenses.
- Your travel from your home to Corte and back.

Loan of equipment
Altipiani lend you the individual equipment: harness, shoes, helmet and belay system. We advise you to have your own shoes for comfort.
Meeting
To get to Corte, take the train from the main cities of Corsica : Ajaccio, Bastia, Calvi and Ile-Rousse.

Recommended equipment
For the activities
- Climbing short and t-shirt, sunglasses, cap, swimsuit.
- Linen climbing pants, fleece sweatshirt , windproof jacket.
- Light shoes or tennis shoes for mountain walks of approach.
- Backpack (20 to 30 litres).
- Personal climbing equipment if available.
- Picnic Gear: gourd or bottle, cutlery, hermetic box Tupperware style.
For the stay
- Personal belongings: a change of clothes, t-shirt, socks, towels, toiletries.
- For evenings : fleece sweatshirt , trousers, light shoes, jacket, mountain headlamp.
- Personal pharmacy: plan your own treatment, ear plug for nights in lodging, headache, body aches, etc..
- A sackcloth and a sleeping bag for camping.
